Natural Printmaking/Holiday Paper Workshop

Kids will explore the basics (and joys) of printmaking on large paper compositions! Class will use a variety of shapes, colors, block-stamps and textures to roll, blot and pattern-make into compositions. We will explore different natural elements; making a variety of decorative patterns and textures: creating patterns with textured paint rollers, pressing with bark, rolling with pinecones, and choosing from an assortment of block-stamp shapes.
Class time includes a themed story-time and a fresh-air field trip walk around our beautiful park grounds where kids will be encouraged to look for more “pattern-making potentials” in the abundant natural treasures.
All materials will be provided. Kids will take home their collection of large scale sheets of their prints — to enjoy at home and even use for upcoming holiday gift wrap.
Come dressed for the weather and loads of creative play!
