4th of July Firework Displays in Our Area! | Stamford Moms

On 4th of July weekend, several towns in our area will host firework displays! While some are open to residents and their guests only, there are several fun opportunities to celebrate! Scroll down for a list!

Monday, July 5

Stamford Downtown Fireworks Display, 9 p.m.
From the four corners of the Landmark Building in Stamford Downtown! You’ll be able to see the show from anywhere in Stamford Downtown and southern Stamford!
To help protect against a potential spread of Covid-19, the City of Stamford encourages you not to congregate. Roads will remain open.

Fairfield Independence Day Fireworks Display at Penfield & Jennings Beaches, entertainment begins at 6p.m. with fireworks around 9:15 p.m.
Beach Parking lots can be accessed either with a Season Beach Sticker or by purchasing a Daily Pass for $50.00 per vehicle (credit card only). Daily Passes will be limited to the first 300 vehicles at Jennings Beach and 100 vehicles at Penfield Beach. 

Greenwich Fourth of July Fireworks at Greenwich Point Park, 9:10 p.m.
Entry to the park will require an active Park Pass for residents and single entry ticket for non-residents. On the day of each show, Greenwich Point will close to vehicle entry at 8 p.m. or once parking has reached its capacity.

Ridgefield Family Fireworks from the parking lots at Ridgefield High School, Scotland and Barlow Elementary Schools, Gates open at 6pm, fireworks start at dusk
Only ONE ticket is necessary per car. Parking at Ridgefield High School, Barlow Mountain and Scotland Elementary Schools.

Sunday, July 11

New Canaan Family Fourth Celebration at Waveny Park, event begins at 5:00 p.m. with fireworks around 9:15 p.m.
Event passes available only to New Canaan Residents and their guests. The 2021 pass fee is $35 and sold online at www.newcanaan.info. Family picnicking, live music, children’s games area and food trucks.

Thursday, July 15

Darien Fireworks Display at Darien High School, gates open at 6:30 p.m.
Parking passes will be on sale online and at the Parks & Recreation Department at Town Hall starting Wednesday, July 7th through Wednesday, July 14th. (As a reminder, Town Hall is open for business Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. daily) Availability of passes (online and in person) is limited to 375 and may sell out. Parking passes are $30. They are available for purchase by Darien Residents only. Walk-ins are free and not limited to residents. To purchase your parking pass online, please visit www.darienct.gov/fireworks. Please note that all parking passes, including those purchased online, require in-person pick-up by Wednesday, July 14th. The event will include delicious local food truck options. You are encouraged to BYOP (bring your own picnic) as well! Live music will also be provided prior to the start of the fireworks by local artist Kenny Weiss!
