2023 Memorial Day Parades! | Stamford Moms

Celebrate Memorial Day by heading to one of the parades in our area! Not only are they a great way to teach the kids what the weekend is all about, but it’s also a fun way to keep them entertained! Here’s a list to help you find a parade that works with your family’s schedule!

Stamford Memorial Day Parade

Sunday, May 28, noon
The parade follows the route: Stamford Police Department to Veterans Memorial Park via Bedford Street, across Broad Street and continuing on Atlantic Street.
The ceremony in Veterans Park will be held immediately following the parade.

Rowayton Memorial Day Parade

Sunday, May 28, noon
The parade follows the route: Choose a spot along McKinley Avenue or Rowayton Avenue.
Head down to the fire station for hot dogs and soda afterward!

New Canaan Memorial Day Parade

Monday, May 29, 9:30 a.m.
The parade follows the route: St. Mark’s Church parking lot on Oenoke Ridge Road proceeding down Oenoke Ridge to upper Main Street, past the Wayside Cross and past the Firehouse and Town Hall and continuing straight down Main Street until arriving at the entrance of Lakeview Cemetery where parade marchers can enter the Cemetery for the Ceremony or can disperse South on lower Main Street.

Westport Memorial Day Parade

Monday, May 29, 9 a.m.
The parade follows the route: Riverside Avenue, continues east on Post Road East, to Myrtle Avenue, to Main Street, and ends at Parker Harding Plaza.Immediately following the Parade, memorial services will be held on Veterans Green.

Old Greenwich Memorial Day Parade

Monday, May 29, 10 a.m.
The parade route is on Sound Beach Avenue

Norwalk Memorial Day Parade

Monday, May 29, 10 a.m.
The parade follows the route: Veterans Park in East Norwalk, right on Van Zant Street, left on East Avenue, past City Hall and ending at the Town Green.

Darien Memorial Day Parade

Monday, May 29, 10 a.m.
The parade follows the route: Goodwives Shopping Center, up the Post Road to Spring Grove Veterans Cemetery.

A commemoration ceremony will start at 11:15 a.m.
The Post 53 Annual Food Fair is 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Tilley Pond Park. Learn more here!
